What is 'Managed Hosting'
Only the best of all possible worlds! A managed website is one which enables you to make design changes, add information, sections, and integrations without having to fret about technical issues or updates. We handle that end of things and are there for you if you run into issues with any changes you've made to your site. So we build it, host it, and help you connect your domain and you sit back and enjoy the compliments on a site well done.
Do you supply the domain name for my website?
We do not purchase domain names on our clients' behalf as this is problematic from an ownership & compliance perspective. It's best practice for you to buy your own domain name ( we recommend Namecheap.com) but we're happy to help you choose your domain name and help you connect it to your new website.
Who owns the copyright to my website?
You own the rights to your images and copy on the website. This does not imply or infer any ownership, trademarks or technical IP for the platform on which your site is hosted.
What if I don't have great headshots for you to use?
No worries, we've got you covered. We will work with what you have and suggest workarounds, even when there is very little visual collateral to work around. This is not our first rodeo, so we have many tricks up our sleeves for enhancing your less than high res images or creating visuals that convey your message without you being in them. Some people are never going to be ready for their close-up. We can work with that.
What if I don't like the deliverables?
Our process is designed to collect your approval at the strategy, design, and implementation stages so you'll always have a clear sense of the direction we're headed and opportunity to request tweaks. We've been building online branding for a long time and know what works, particularly for medtech and consultants, so to some degree you'll have to trust us to bring out your best. We want you to be proud to show off our work so our reputation is at stake too!
Synaptx covers the hosting & management of my new website for the first year, then what?
After the first year, you can keep your website on our managed hosting plan for $50 per month or opt to join one of our membership programs and we'll continue to cover it. This perk only applies to websites that we built!
If you'd prefer to manage your site yourself, we will transfer your site to a self-hosted account on the same platform, through which you'll be responsible for the hosting costs and content management. If you elect to transfer your website files to a different website builder platform, we'll provide the files but you'll be responsible for the technical implementation.
*Please note that it's not always feasible to transfer a website from one builder/hosting platform to another without data loss.
