You can also choose to terminate your membership and just have us continue hosting your website for $50 per month or choose to have us transfer your website to your own account and cover the hosting fees yourself. We'll be in touch 14 days before your annual renewal to show your options and act on your preferences.

MedtechExec Illuminate is a new membership program and as such we want to ensure that we build it out to best meet the needs of medical device C-level executives. Our Founding Members provide us with the feedback we need to achieve this and in exchange for their input and willingness to help us iron out the wrinkles, we offer a 40% discount for the lifetime of their membership as a gesture of our reciprocal loyalty and good faith.
We employ the invitation model to ensure that MedtechExec Illuminate is a good fit for your needs, and if it's not, identify the gaps so that we can modify the program or possibly create a new one that will serve you better. Accessing by invitation also allows us to control our intake and refine our onboarding processes.Why is the Founding Member membership fee so deeply discounted?
MedtechExec Illuminate is in its late beta phase and our directory, MedtechExpert.Org, will not be publicly live until January 2024. In exchange for joining us during the beta phase and helping us to iron out the wrinkles and populate our directory, we are offering Founding Members an outstanding reduction in annual fees. Renewal at that rate, no matter how much the standard rate increases, is a gesture of appreciation and reciprocal loyalty.
If invited to join, what is the process and timeline?
Within your invitation to join as a founding member you'll receive a link to pay your membership fee. Once payment is received we'll send you a welcome email with a link to our intake app where you'll be asked to supply some basic professional information as well as your near and long term career goals (i.e. executive role, Board appointment, industry authority to achieve corporate objectives). We'll ask for links to your Linkedin and other social media profiles and will ask you to upload your resumé (not required, but helpful) along with any headshots or other images we can use. There's also a quick questionnaire for us to ascertain your style preferences. All in all it should take no more than 10 minutes - and that's it! We'll take it from there and get to work on your branding kit, website, Media Kit/One Sheet, and MedtechExpert.Org profile. You'll have your very own member portal where we'll share links to review your initial branding kit and web links and let us know if you need any revisions before we finalize and deliver your materials to your portal. Depending on where you are in the queue and how quickly you review and approve your proofs, this process takes anywhere from 5-10 days.
Why not just rely on Linkedin and a resumé?
Resumés are typically a little dry and don't lend themselves to speaking directly to your prospective clients. They also have zero visual or SEO appeal and you'd be ill advised to post your resumé online, vulnerable to the wild and woolly of the internet.
Speaking of wild and woolly, LinkedIn is a beast of a platform that's great for a general search but lacks specificity and most importantly, has its best interests at heart, not yours. If they decide to shut down features, change the algorithm, prioritize premium accounts, or ban you, all your hard work in creating the perfect Linkedin profile is for naught.How is MedtechExpert.Org different from Linkedin or Industry Association Memberships?
That's our favorite question; thanks for asking. Linkedin provides a global corporate directory of all industries and types of professionals as well as profile pages and a few tools that are generic enough to fit its immense variety of users. Industry associations are regional and focus heavily on corporate members rather than the leaders of those corporations and rarely, if ever, offer any sort of tools to make your medtech life easier.

What is 'Managed Hosting'
Only the best of all possible worlds! A managed website is one which enables you to make design changes, add information, sections, and integrations without having to fret about technical issues or updates. We handle that end of things and are there for you if you run into issues with any changes you've made to your site. So we build it, host it, and help you connect your domain and you sit back and enjoy the compliments on a site well done.
Do you supply the domain name for my website?
We do not purchase domain names on our clients' behalf as this is problematic from an ownership & compliance perspective. It's best practice for you to buy your own domain name ( we recommend Namecheap.com) but we're happy to help you choose your domain name and will help you connect it to your new website.
Who owns the copyright to my website and logo?
You, as the client, own the rights to your images and copy on the website, and own rights to the logo as well. This does not imply or infer any trademarks or technical IP for the platform on which your site is hosted.
What if I don't have great headshots for you to use?
No worries, we've got you covered. We will work with what you have and suggest workarounds, even when there is very little visual collateral to work around. This is not our first rodeo, so we have many tricks up our sleeves for enhancing your less than high res images or creating visuals that convey your message without you being in them. Some people are never going to be ready for their close-up. We can work with that.
What if I don't like the deliverables?
Our process is designed to collect your approval at the strategy, design, and implementation stages so you'll always have a clear sense of the direction we're headed and opportunity to request tweaks. We've been building online branding for a long time and know what works, particularly for medtech and consultants, so to some degree you'll have to trust us to bring out your best. We want you to be proud to show off our work so our reputation is at stake too!
What happens to my website if I decide to terminate my membership?
We cover the managed hosting for the website we built for you, for the lifetime of your membership. Should you wish to terminate your MedtechExec Illuminate membership you can keep your website on our managed hosting plan for $500 per year.
If you'd prefer to manage your site yourself, we will transfer your site to a self-hosted account on the same platform, through which you'll be responsible for the hosting costs. If you elect to transfer your website files to a different website builder platform, you'll be responsible for the technical implementation.How does this benefit me if I don't have the time or interest in doing media interviews, speaking engagements, or creating knowledge transfer materials for our industry?
